Elliott is the author of Vigil and California Winter League and is an assistant professor of African American studies at the University of California, Berkeley; her honors include a Wallace Stegner Fellowship and a Cave Canem Fellowship. Pardlo’s collection Digest won the 2015 Pulitzer Prize for Poetry; his other honors include fellowships from the Guggenheim Foundation, the National Endowment for the Arts, and the New York Foundation for the Arts. Nelson is the recipient of the Poetry Foundation’s 2019 Ruth Lilly Poetry Prize; her other honors include two NEA creative writing fellowships, the 1990 Connecticut Arts Award, a Fulbright Teaching Fellowship, and a Frost Medal.
