Poetry off the Shelf: Aimee Nezhukumatathil & Keith Jarrett


Join us for a reading from poet and editor Aimee Nezhukumatathil and poetry slam champion Keith Jarrett. Nezhukumatathil is the author of four books of poetry: Oceanic; Lucky Fish, winner of an Eric Hoffer Grand Prize for Prose; At the Drive-In Volcano; and Miracle Fruit. Her writing awards include a National Endowment for the Arts Fellowship in poetry and a Pushcart Prize. She is a professor of English and creative writing in the MFA program of the University of Mississippi and poetry editor of Orion magazine. Jarrett is a Rio International Poetry Slam winner and a PhD candidate at Birkbeck, University of London, where he is completing his first novel. His play Safest Spot in Town was aired on BBC Four, and his book of poetry, Selah, was published in 2017.
