PlayOut! 2024 – True Colors

Delve into the rich tapestry of LGBTQIA+ culture through a captivating program curated by cellist David Sands, in collaboration with and in full support of Chicago’s Allegrezza Singers.

Experience the world premiere of Fata Morgana, by composer Matthew Recio and librettist Alejandra Martinez, specially commissioned for David Sands. This groundbreaking piece explores themes of identity and expression, reflecting the essence of “True Colors.” Alongside this premiere, enjoy captivating performances by violinist Carmen Abelson, tenor Stephen Edwards, composer and saxophonist Richard Brasseale, CSO cellist Brant Taylor and many more!

Starting at 6 pm, indulge in pre-concert drinks and light refreshments, setting the stage for an enchanting musical journey. After the concert, join us for a delightful dessert reception, where you can mingle with fellow music enthusiasts and artists.
