On 12/2, the Chicago Architecture Center offers a walking tour of the Palmer House Hotel will be adorned with holiday decorations, creating a festive ambiance for this special tour. Experience the glamour, intrigue, and excitement of the bygone ‘Grand Hotel’ era all while surrounded by cheerful holiday spirit.
The hotel has received numerous awards for its multimillion-dollar restoration and renovation, completed in 2008. Learn about the history of the Palmers and view some elaborate areas of the hotel that reflect Classical Revival style, Art Deco design and some French Empire and Rococo influences.
