As part of Gertie’s Next Stop: Chicago campaign, Arts + Public Life invites Washington Park residents and neighborhood commuters to unwind at the Arts Lawn, a vibrant new “third space” just steps away from the Garfield Green Line CTA stop and the #55 bus route.
Come reclaim leisure on Chicago’s South Side with an exciting blend of activities and relaxation! Enjoy a unique soundscape performance by Ben Lamar Gay, and a community sound bath by Mecca Elevated. Sip on refreshing beverages, and challenge friends to card and board games.
Be sure to explore the innovative sound sculpture “ode to rhumboogie” created by Chicago artists ebere agwuncha and Josué Esaú, and chill out on the sleek, new outdoor furniture designed by APL’s Design Apprenticeship Program II.
