His first stop will beCasa Hogar Pan de Vida in Santiago de Querétaro, Mexico, which provides a home-like environment to their 50 boys and girls who have been victims of abuse and neglect. Morelli will then go toCasa Hogar Esperanza Parati, a neighboring orphanage that is home to 24 children who have suffered abuse or abandonment. His trip will conclude atCasa Infantil Ammi, an orphanage that serves 12 children from situations of mistreatment, abuse and abandonment to have access to a better quality of life and a functional family unit.

Joey Morelli is a former Food Network “Chef vs. City Chicago” contestant, radio host, Board member of Stand Up for Kids Chicago, and owner of Highland Park’s belovedMax’s Deli. When Morelli is not traveling to orphanages around the world, he is actively involved in cooking and feeding homeless and refugees throughout greater Chicagoland. He is currently working with Catholic Charities, The Chicago Help Initiative, Debora’s Place, Orange Tent City, and Stand Up for Kids Chicago, to help provide food on a weekly basis. Morelli’s local outreach over his 30 year career sparked his desire to grow his movement into an international one, thus taking Joey’s Food Fight to Cambodia in 2022, Ukraine in 2023, and now plans to visit Mexico later this month.
