French Connections
Lakeview Orchestra ushers in the 23/24 season with acclaimed works that weave a tapestry of dance-inspired music, each composed by an artist who cultivated their early inspirations in Paris. Under the baton of conductor Gregory Hughes, this program features three iconic masterpieces: the original version of Aaron Copland’s Appalachian Spring for 13 instruments, Igor Stravinsky’s evocative Petrushka (1946/47 version), and the mesmerizing rhythms of Maurice Ravel’s Boléro.
