CSO MusicNOW: Inspiring Voices
Inspiring Voices connects composer and cellist Andrea Casarrubios with one of her inspirations, former Mead Composer-in-Residence Osvaldo Golijov. Casarrubios performs two of her own pieces, including a world premiere, alongside Golijov’s seminal work Tenebrae, which contrasts the Argentinian-Israeli composer’s experiences of war with the innocence and optimism of childhood. Also on the program is Betty Olivero’s Bashra’v, which takes its inspiration from tunes originating in the Arab-Jewish musical tradition.
Tickets start at $30
