Crafted Conversations: Châteauneuf-du-Pape Wine Pairing Dinner at Torali Restaurant
The Ritz-Carlton, Chicago, an iconic address that unites city, lake and sky in a vibrant and luxurious setting is hosting another unforgettable evening for their Crafted Conversations series. On Tuesday, September 19, 2023 from 7pm until 10pm., guests will explore the storied past of French and Italian heritage featuring wines from the famed Chateâuneuf-du-Pape AOC appellation at the Ritz’s modern Italian steakhouse, Torali in a special four-course wine pairing dinner.
Guided by special guest Jean-Louis Smyl, Export Manager for Famille Quiot Wines, the night will include a carefully tailored multi-course intimate dinner showcasing the fusion of Chef Guenther Moreno’s exquisite dishes paired with wines from one of the most renowned names in the southern Rhone Valley.

Torali is a modern Italian steakhouse located on the 12th floor of The Ritz-Carlton, Chicago. Torali features traditional antipasti and handmade pasta alongside prime and dry-aged meats, Old World-inspired cocktails and fine wines. Upon arrival, guests are greeted by glittery custom light fixtures and an open layout of contemporary booths, tables and chairs. Frosted 6-foot glass walls separate the restaurant from other concepts like the bar, lobby lounge and cafe. Curated by Executive Chef Guenther Moreno, Torali’s menu is inspired by seasonal Midwest flavors, creating elevated dishes. Highlights include Vegetable Risotto, Grilled Lambchops and Grilled Prime Cowgirl Rib-Eye. The dessert menu was designed by Executive Pastry Chef Toni Roberts – a former Jean Banchet Award winner. Her creations take a twist on traditional desserts, with elevated classics like Baked Ricotta Cheesecake, Spumoni Tartufo and Tangerine Almond Tiramisu.
