Close-up with ‘The Nose’

Chicago Opera Theater will present the Chicago premiere performance of the absurdist Russian masterpiece The Nose by Dmitri Shostakovich in December at the Harris Theater. Ahead of the performances, COT General Director Lawrence Edelson will lead a Close-up with The Nose with conductor and COT Music Director Lidiya Yankovskaya and director, the legendary opera icon, Francesa Zambello, giving audience members an opportunity to take an insider’s peek at the opera, its source materials, and artistic production, while enjoying excerpts from the work performed by COT singers. Close-Up with The Nose takes place at the Newberry Library, 60 W. Walton Street, Wednesday, November 29 at 6:30 PM.
