Chick Singer Night® (CSN) returns to Chicago with a show at Martyrs’, celebrating 34 years of supporting female artists. This all-ages music songfest on Thursday, September 15th at 7:30PM will highlight both local and regional female singers/songwriters and features a talented line-up of established and emerging artists including Mia Mormino (Los Angeles), Kate Lamont (San Francisco), and Chicago artists Leslie Buekelman, Lauren Hall, Carly Rosenberg and Shawn Christopher (Los Angeles/Chicago). CSN Chicago Directors Marie Cinquemani and Celeste Harrell present this evening of extraordinary music along with special guest host Lori Maier, CSN Founder and Executive Director, who hosted the very first CSN back in November 1988. Since then CSN has spread its wings to over 20 cities nationwide and abroad. The 34th Anniversary featured artists are supported by the CSN Chicago Band: Evan Rea on keys (Big Roy, Wicked, Hamilton, associate conductor Drury Lane Oakbrook), Kraig McCreary on guitars (Akimbo, Jerry Goodman, Derrick Procell), Jim Widlowski on drums (Kurt Elling, Fareed Haque, City Lights Orchestra), Paul Von Mertens on sax (Poi Dog Pondering, Wilco, Brian Wilson), and Bob Lizik on bass (Jerry Goodman, Wayne Healy, Brian Wilson).
