Pendry Chicago is bringing even more art to the Champagne-bottle topped Carbide & Carbon Building! On select weekends beginning late October through early December, you’ll be able to watch artists work throughout the weekend via the windows on Michigan Avenue. Featuring tapestries, murals, still life, and portraits, these art residencies will bring a variety of art forms to the first floor Billiards Gallery of the hotel. Pop into the gallery space between 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. on Friday to meet the artist, chat, and get a closer look at their artistic process, and be sure to come back on Sunday for a gallery showcasing the work created during the residency and an artist’s talk! Bids for art pieces can be made directly with each artist throughout the weekend.
You can meet and watch the artist work from 11 a.m. – 6 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. Come back Sunday between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. for the gallery showcase and artist’s talk. This event is free and open to the public.
