“A Night with You”: In-Gallery Performance
Join us in an immersive exploration of the museum’s exhibitions at the DuSable Museum for “A Night With You.” Hosted by Danny Dunson, Director of Curatorial Services and Community Partnerships.
This newly created performance piece features five original short plays composed within a three-week workshop by Black writers. These unique performances breathe new air into the Chicago landmark museum’s current exhibitions while highlighting elements of Black history and activating the museum’s storied collection of artifacts.
As you tour the museum’s current exhibitions, you will witness actors perform new plays created by five Black writers. This unique event presents thought-provoking and relatable stories that question what we will bring to a museum and what we leave with. You will be a part of the action, moving throughout the museum and what we leave with. Witness the compelling performance of five new plays by Black writers inspired by the museum’s collection.
