8th Annual Lincoln Park Wine Fest


The eighth annual Lincoln Park Wine Fest transforms tranquil Jonquil Park into a wonderland of wine October 4-6. Wine and Food pavilions spread out across the park offering wines from around the world, food, and accouterments, with sommeliers and brand ambassadors on hand to assist wine newbies and the most sophisticated viticulturalists alike.

 

Lincoln Park Wine Fest takes place in Jonquil Park (1001 W. Wrightwood Avenue) October 4-6, Friday 5-10 p.m.; Saturday 11 a.m.-10 p.m.; and Sunday 11 a.m.-7 p.m. General Admission tickets are starting at $40 in advance and $65 (if available) at the door. Festgoers can choose from a number two hour tasting sessions held throughout the weekend. During the session, general admission ticket holders will enjoy access to the festival market, twelve tasting tickets and a commemorative tasting glass. VIP ticket holders receive an additional five tastings of carefully curated specialty wines, a commemorative tasting glass, private seating area and restrooms. Plus, an – Exclusive VIP entrance for easy access to event.

 

Varietals on the VIP tasting list include offerings from wineries located in every corner of the grape-growing world from La Baraja Red in Spain, to Verdon Estate in Napa Valley, to Morópio Amarone della Valpolicella Classico in Italy. Other prestigious wineries featured on the VIP list include Ovis, Zialena, Bella Glos, Chasing Lions and more. Specialty wines retail for over $50 a bottle in store, making the VIP tasting a unique and economical experience.

 

Fest goers will enjoy tunes spun by a DJ, food from Polombia (dumplings), Taqueria La Ciudad (Mexican) and El Coqui Restaurant (Puerto Rican, Colombian) and browse wine related craft and merchant vendors.

 

Lincoln Park Wine Fest is hosted by the Wrightwood Neighbors Association. Proceeds from the event will benefit Wrightwood Neighbors Conversation Program including care of Jonquil Park. Jonquil Park is located at 1001 W. Wrightwood Ave. in Chicago. For more information visit
