2023 Modernism Road Rally House Tour

Don’t miss THE home tour event of the summer! Join us for our second biennial Modernism Road Rally, where we will take you on a captivating journey through the exceptional Midcentury Modern Architecture of Chicagoland’s south suburban railroad commuter communities of Flossmoor and Olympia Fields. 

These communities served as a hub for progressive experimentation by renowned modernist architects of the 1950s and 1960s, including Keck and Keck, Edward Dart, and Bertrand Goldberg. The Rally will highlight 12 exemplary homes, many of which have received design awards and have been featured in periodicals, books, and recent publications, underscoring their individual significance and the importance of this unique enclave of modernist architecture. 

In 2023, the Edith Farnsworth House is proud to partner with the Foundation for the Preservation of Flossmoor History. A portion of the proceeds from the event will contribute to the restoration of the historic Wagner Building in Flossmoor.
