2017 NCAA Men's Frozen Four Chicago: April 6 & 8

Chicago's first ever college hockey championship is almost here! The stage is set, and hockey fans across the country anxiously await the commencement of the 2017 NCAA Men's Frozen Four.

Harvard and Minnesota Duluth will start the action at the United Center on April 6 at 5:00pm CT, followed by Denver and Notre Dame at 8:30pm. The victors of each semifinal will then compete for the national title on Saturday, April 8 at 7:00pm. Limited tickets are still available and can be purchased here.

And with the regular season schedule starting to wind down, anticipation of playoff season heats up! It’s been a crucial part of the city’s fabric for over a century and Lord Stanley’s Cup has been a regular feature of the city’s landscape as the Chicago Blackhawks have taken it home three times over the past eight years.

On Dec. 20, the United Center will host an exciting afternoon of basketball featuring four of the most prestigious college programs in the country.

The inaugural CBS Sports Classic features a doubleheader taking place on Saturday, Dec. 20, starting at noon with North Carolina taking on Ohio State followed by UCLA facing Kentucky at 2:30 p.m.

Chicago Named NCAA Host City in 2017, 2018

Frozen FourExciting news reached Chicago yesterday when the city was named the host for two great college sports championships out of an original pool of bids including 1,984 submissions. With 2017 and 2018 Chicago host city announcements, Chicago has shifted the tournaments from a familiar destination and positioned itself for repeat business in the future.

If scouring dark and weathered clubs for the "next big thing" in music is your passion, Chicago has many an option. Dozens. For instance, just before Adele hit the big time her favorite place to play was a Martyrs in Lakeview -- a cool, candlelight club that holds around 200 patrons. But, if you're more interested in the here and now, the current chart toppers, there's a handful of fantastic options in and around town as well.
