Happy weekend, Chicago! I hope the Taste didn't keep you too full, because there are a handful of events this weekend ready to fill your belly. There are plenty of things to do in Chicago this weekend, whether you're looking for a craft brew festival, a BBQ feast, a nationally acclaimed music festival, family friendly entertainment, or a special birthday celebration for our very own Navy Pier. Don't forget to check out our July festivals list so you don't miss anything. And if you're a big planner, we also have our August schedule ready!

St. Vincent

We have to hand it to Pitchfork Music Festival this year. The headliners the fest pulled in for its 2014 edition (happening July 17-19) are not only impressive but also impressively diverse. Revered singer songwriter Beck kicks things off Friday night, recently reunited indie rock gods Neutral Milk Hotel headline on Saturday and Grammy-nominated Compton rapper Kendrick Lamar will close out the festival on Sunday. These headlining acts alone are worth the cost of your ticket but Pitchfork is cramming dozens of other buzzworthy acts into Union Park over the weekend.

Plan your itineraries accordingly! The 2014 Pitchfork Music Festival, happening Friday, July 18 - Sunday, July 20 at Chicago's Union Park, today announced this year's schedule of performers. This year's show features headliners Beck, Neutral Milk Hotel and Kendrick Lamar, as well as a host of other awesome acts.

Pitchfork Music Festival's lineup is always on point. This festival showcases the hottest acts in indie music and has a docket jam packed with artists on the verge of breaking through to the big time. This year's festival, which occurs July 19-21 in West Loop's Union Park, has incredible headliners. Icelandic siren Björk takes the stage Friday night. Scottish pop rockers Belle and Sebastian round things out on Saturday and that R. Kelly fellow, headlining the final night of the fest, has a few hits under his belt, too.

In addition to a wealth of awesome local street festivals, Chicago summers are also generously seasoned with big scale music festivals throughout our city's parks. When you only have so much time though (not to mention money in your bank), sometimes it's hard to decide which festivals you'll enjoy the most.

2013 Pitchfork Music Festival Announces Full Lineup

Pitchfork Music Festival

Lollapalooza tickets went on sale yesterday and - much to the dismay of this writer - sold out in a matter of minutes (don't worry single-day tickets go on sale April 9). Alone and heartbroken, I remembered the wise words of my grandfather who always used to tell me, "Where one music festival door closes, another one opens." As it turns out, the old man was right. Pitchfork Music Festival announced it's full lineup and, just like grandpa promised, tickets are still available
