The biggest international art event of the fall season kicks off with the sixth annual Expo Chicago, the international exposition of contemporary and modern art at Navy Pier, on September 14–17. An array of 135 galleries that hail from 58 cities and 25 countries will transform the Navy Pier festival hall into a colorful, global showcase. Art lovers can browse an exciting display of contemporary art works as well as attend panel discussions, view curated film and video and participate in special daily events.

Washington Park explodes with music and creative energy during the 43rd annual DuSable Museum Arts & Crafts Festival. Music, dance, food and hand-crafted art and jewelry are the highlights for this free and family-focused event which kicks off this Saturday and Sunday from noon to 10pm. On Sunday, from noon to 6pm, Chicago's creative community comes together for On The Beach: Remastered Honoring Phil Cohran. at the 63rd St. Beach pavilion to celebrate what would have been the 90th birthday of musical icon Kelan Phillip Cohran.

Participate in the joyful community celebration of Kwanzaa on Tuesday, December 27, at the DuSable Museum of African American History in the Hyde Park neighborhood. The annual African American cultural celebration focuses on seven African principles for each day of the weeklong event, which culminates with a feast and creative program.

The Centennial Celebration of the Great Migration continues with an exploration of the musical history that developed as a result of the historic migration of African Americans from the South to northern cities, especially Chicago. The cultural impact of the blues and jazz genres, which expanded on major levels due to The Great Migration, will be celebrated with two events on Saturday, July 23.

Celebrate the artistic heritage and creativity of African American culture at the 42nd Annual DuSable Museum Arts & Crafts Festival on July 9 & 10. Enjoy shopping, music, food and more at this free, family friendly event unfolding on the landscaped grounds of DuSable Museum in Washington Park.
