Chicago Chinese New Year at Chicago Cultural Center

Are you ready to try 300 of Chicago's most popular restaurants or are you looking forward to the top events to celebrate Chinese New Year? Well, Chicago should definitely be on your bucketlist! You can also celebrate and get autographs from your favorite players on the White Sox. Sounds like it's time to make weekend plans — here are 12 things to do in Chicago to get you started.

Chicago Restaurant Week is the perfect excuse to head out to one of Chicago's vibrant, foodie neighborhoods. In locales from Albany Park to West Town, over 350 Chicago restaurants are participating in Restaurant Week from January 27 to February 9, 2017 — making this the perfect opportunity to taste test through neighborhoods you haven't yet had a chance to explore.

Chicago Restaurant Week: January 27 – February 9, 2017

The reservation books are now open for the 14-day feast otherwise known as Chicago Restaurant Week. From Friday, January 27, to Thursday, February 9, dine at 300+ restaurants (including 66 new participants!) at deliciously low prices. Multiple-course meals pack in prix fixe deals with $22 brunch (new this year) and lunch options, and $33/$44 dinner options.

First Bites Bash 2016

It's the first foodie celebration of the year, and the date is set for Thursday, January 26, 2017. A new location at Navy Pier, a new celeb chef host and 32 new restaurants are on the lineup for this 1-night only tasting party. Start 2017 off with this stylish celebration of the Chicago culinary scene... and do it with a deal: Early Bird tickets have just been posted.

Chicken Shop Chicago

Chicago Restaurant Week is the perfect time of year to check out some of our city's culinary delights. From January 16 through February 4, you can take advantage of excellent prix fixe menus — starting at $22 for lunch and $33 and/or $44 for dinner (excluding beverages, tax and gratuity) — for the whole family.

First Bites Bash Chicago

It's the first foodie fête of the year and the date is set for Thursday, January 21, 2016.

First Bites Bash 2016 will take over Union Station's Great Hall and bring in over 60 Chicago restaurants to showcase small bites both sweet and savory. Executive Chef Tony Priolo (Executive Chef/Partner of Piccolo Sogno & Piccolo Sogno Due) will host this year's event, from which a portion of the proceeds will benefit the Anthony Rizzo Family Foundation.

Level Two
