Rockit Bar & Grill

The 2013 Big Ten Men's Basketball Tournament is coming to the United Center this week! To celebrate, Chicago Like a Local will be highlighting the best area places to watch each Big Ten team. The Michigan Wolverines have been one of the NCAA's elite squads, finishing the regular season ranked No. 6 in the country.

As the conference tournament swings into action on Thursday, here are five FABulous places to watch Michigan play.

Rockit Bar & Grill (River North - 22 W. Hubbard)

Rockit is an exciting hot spot that has food and drink specials just for this week's Big Ten tournament at both locations (see Rockit Burger Bar - Wrigleyville). They also offer a valet in River North and take reservations in Wrigleyville. And, most importantly, there are enough big screens that you won't miss a second of the action.

Duffy's Tavern & Grille (420 1/2 W. Diversey)

Duffy's has been an official Michigan bar since opening in 2000, and their famous weekend brunch could come in handy for an early Wolverines game on Saturday. Though, if you have an early game Saturday, you may want to avoid Duffy's on Friday night - it can get wild. Be sure to try the Duffy's Reuben.

Diag Bar & Grill (2856 N. Southport)

Stop by Diag and grab a Michigan Stadium cup while enjoying the game in a unique Wolverine atmosphere. Another official Michigan bar, Diag also offers special Michigan Blue shots and their lobster mac is to die for.

Matilda's (3101 N. Sheffield)

A great spot that's open late every night of the week, Matilda's is famous for their hand-made... everything. The blue cheese-stuffed filet mignon is outstanding and their flat breads are amazing.
