Chicago's theatre season is in full swing, and that's made especially evident by the offerings this weekend. From the classic Christmas story of Dr. Seuss' How the Grinch Stole Christmas! to Dance Theatre Harlem returning to Auditorium Theatre after a 16 year hiatus, you've got lots to choose from if you have a show on stage fix. Those - along with some other holiday-oriented activities sure to dazzle the whole family, such as the Chicago Toy & Game Fair or Magnificent Mile Lights Festival - and whew, you've got yourself a weekend.
The National Museum of Mexican Art and the Old Town School of Folk Music welcome the Ballet Folklórico y Grupo de Tamborileros de la UJAT to Chicago. This group from Tabasco, Mexico, preserves the pre-hispanic musical roots of their region teaching basic drum and flute music and dance.
CHICAGO FOOD FILM FESTIVAL (11/21-22)
Experience delicious food and great films all wrapped up in one! With a different theme each night, this festival at Kendall College will please all five senses. Tomorrow, enjoy a "Night Aquatic" evening of sea-centric films including Squid Chips; The Mobile Blues, Sweet; Sexy Ocean; and more. Saturday features a craft beer bash with a screening of Craft, a feature-length documentary that takes you on a beertastic voyage to the front lines of the Craft Beer Revolution.
Crowd favorite The Food Porn Party closes things off with a saucy BBQ bonanza, as Brooklyn BBQ Pit Master Billy Durney of Hometown BBQ will be serving his celebrated beef ribs.

CHICAGO TOY & GAME FAIR (11/22-23)
Come out and play at the 12th annual Chicago Toy & Game Fair (ChiTAG). As the only fair of its kind in the United States open to the public, ChiTAG Fair returns to Navy Pier in Chicago, the world's top city for toy and game inventors, for a weekend of fun-filled discovery, interactive events, and of course, play.
MAGNIFICENT MILE LIGHTS FESTIVAL (11/22)
The stretch of Michigan Avenue between Wacker Drive and Oak Street, known as The Magnificent Mile, turns into a winter wonderland every holiday season. On the Saturday before each Thanksgiving, the "Mag Mile's" towering hotels and shops light up in glorious fashion, with more than one million lights adorning 200 trees! Plus a parade and a fireworks show over the majestic Chicago River end the night's festivities.
