Let the games begin! The new, hotly-anticipated Chicago Athletic Association Hotel opens to the public next week. To celebrate its upcoming opening, the hotel is hosting a Field Day of free events and activities at the Jay Pritzker Pavilion lawn on Saturday, May 23. These include complimentary 25-minute fitness classes with onsite fitness partner On Your Mark Coaching & Training; Chicago Architecture Foundation tours of the building; free rounds of bocce, croquet and other lawn games; and a sneak preview of Executive Chef Christian Ragano's in-house sports drink, courtesy of the hotel's rooftop restaurant and bar Cindy's.

Celebrating the best in suds for the sixth year, Chicago Craft Beer Week wraps up on Sunday, so don't miss your chance to try the best local brews. Beer venues across the city are rolling out tastings and other special events for beer loves everywhere. BELMONT-SHEFFIELD MUSIC FESTIVAL (5/23-24)
It's come to be known as a barometer for the unofficial start of Chicago's outdoor street fest season - the Belmont-Sheffield Music Festival celebrates 31 years this weekend in Lakeview. Though we're a month from summer officially kicking off on June 21, the region's favorite tribute bands, food trucks, beer, wine and artisans converge for a couple days of pure fun. Music headliners are Wedding Banned and Trippin Billies.
Honor the men and women who made the ulimate sacrifice defending our country in the armed forces. Each year, the City of Chicago gives special recognition to our fallen heroes and their survivors with the Wreath Laying Ceremony at Daley Plaza and Memorial Day Parade, considered one of the largest in the nation. The parade proceeds from Daley Plaza south on State Street from Lake to Van Buren.
Take advantage of five blissful hours biking on Lake Shore Drive, one of the most gorgeous thoroughfares in the world. Join 20,000 other bicyclists as you cruise LSD, closed to auto traffic, enjoying sunrise views of Chicago's iconic skyline towering over Lake Michigan. This event, benefiting Active Transportation Alliance's work to improve biking, walking and transit, features a post-ride festival with food and live music! This is an event no visitor to Chicago should miss.
