LOLLAPALOOZA (7/31-8/2)

Lollapalooza

It just wouldn't be summer in Chicago without this music festival, nay bonanza in Grant Park. Every year, more than 100 bands and musicians put on one heck of show for three days, and 2015 looks like it won't disappoint. If you're still looking to go last-minute and don't mind dropping some big bucks, VIP and Platinum passes are still available.

EDGE FEST (8/1-2)

Edge Fest - Dog Aquatics

Don't let the photo deceive you - Edge Fest isn't just a dog show (though that should be reason enough to attend). No, Edge Fest is one big party in Chicago's historic Edgewater neighborhood, featuring some flavorsome cuisine, award-winning entertainment and three dozen local artists. This year also has the new DockDogs traveling aquatics dog competition (above), with a chance for neighborhood dogs and their owners to take part!
