Look at this list below and you'll soon figure out why Chicago is the best place to be during the summer. Or really, any time of year. Gosh you're lucky to be in town *wipes away single tear*.
CHICAGO SCENE BOAT PARTY (7/24-26)
Celebrating 16 years, the Chicago Scene Boat Party Weekend returns to Lake Michigan, Friday through Sunday. Board the Anita Dee I for a four-hour cruise filled with music and entertainment, then head to shore for exclusive Boat Party Weekend events at some of Chicago's best nightlife venues, such as The Godfrey Hotel Chicago and Shay. Grab your tickets before they sail away!
JEFF FEST ARTS & MUSIC FESTIVAL (7/24-26)
Who's Jeff, you ask? Well, it's not a question of "who" but "where." Jefferson Park plays host to this annual summer music festival, one of the city's most cutting edge offerings in the heart of Chicago's historic northwest 'hood. For just $5, you'll be admitted to an awesome outdoor party with entertaining music headliners - '70s disco, '80s cover bands, and an eclectic mix of local and national bands are slated to take the main stage.
CHICAGO HOT SAUCE FEST (7/25-26)
People in Chicago love their hawt sawce. Case in point: the Chicago Hot Sauce Fest in the city's Avondale neighborhood. With live entertainment, food and drinks and blazing sauces, this fest is a hot ticket to say the least. This year, they've also teamed up with Major League Eating to host the 2015 World Chicago Italian Beef Eating Championship, sponsored by Al's Beef.
RANDOLPH STREET MARKET FEST (7/25-26)
The July edition of the Randolph Street Market Fest is here! This month's event is the Chicago Antique Market, where you'll find eight acres of shopping, eating, drinking, live music and entertainment. Sound too good to be true? You better believe it's not.
WICKER PARK FEST (7/25-26)
Wicker Park has been one of Chicago's hottest neighborhoods for years now (we've come so far since that Josh Hartnett movie). Take it all in at the 12th annual eponymous fest Saturday and Sunday, featuring live music, arts, dozens of popular local boutiques and restaurants, and more. Don't forget to check out the official after-party hosted by Umami Burger and a special visit from The Wild Turkey® #Nevertamed Bourbon Tour.
