IRISH AMERICAN HERITAGE FESTIVAL (7/11-13)
Celebrate the finest in local and international Irish and American music, dance and family activities at the 29th annual Irish American Heritage Festival. More than 100 performers take five stages for the three day festival. Language lessons, one-act plays and poetry readings are some of the other cultural offerings in which attendees can take part.
SON OF 70MM FESTIVAL (7/11-13)
The Music Box Theatre proudly brings you the return of its two-week film festival, all shown in stunning 70mm. These epic films, like "Lawrence of Arabia," "2001: A Space Odyssey" and "The Master," were meant to be seen on the big screen. Few films were shot on expensive 70mm film, but those fortunate enough were blessed with striking, high-resolution visual clarity. Don't miss them!
SQUARE ROOTS (7/11-13)
Lincoln Square comes alive this weekend for its 3rd annual craft beer and music festival! Enjoy delicious local food, more than 30 craft beers, and plenty of family activities. Don't forget to stick around for the nightly dance parties and open james.
TASTE OF CHICAGO (7/9-13)
Empty stomachs here are about as rare as ketchup on a hot dog. The Taste of Chicago really needs no introduction. Bigger and better than ever, Taste has several brand new five-day restaurants, as well as endless food trucks and short term pop-up eateries that are guaranteed to please.
