This weekend, throw yourself into some of Chicago's best storytelling, squeeze the last bit of the holidays out of ZooLights and holiday performances, and be sure to catch the Blackhawks game this Sunday.

Now in its 17th year, the Annual Fillet of Solo Festival celebrates Chicago's enduring storyfelling and Live Lit scene. Lifeline Theatre and Live Bait Theater are bringing 10 solo performers and 13 storytelling collectives together over a three-week, multi-venue selection of powerful personal stories. Tickets are $10 for each performance, with Festival Passes for any number of performances available for only $30. Talk about putting your best foot forward in the new year - dance your way through free dance lessons and live music this weekend at the Chicago Cultural Center with Winter Dance! You'll find people of all ages and skill levels learning some new steps from professional instructors, who you'll then get to see show off their skills with live music and dancing. Trippin Billies at House of Blues (1/4)



The Trippin Billies will be performing live this Saturday at House of Blues, and are sure to kick off your new year on the right foot. This Dave Matthews Tribute Band has been touring the U.S. for almost twenty years, and is considered the tribute band of Dave Matthews, we're not talking about your average cover band. You could use a little Dave in your life this weekend (couldn't we all?), so buy your adavance tickets here for $18.50 or buy them the day of for $20.

Mary Wilson Holiday Spectacular (Ends 1/5)

Get one last taste of the holiday season with some Motown Sound in the final weekend of Mary Wilson's Holiday Spectacula, featuring special guests The Four Tops. Enjoy this musical journey  through some of the greats in Motown hits, along with a collection of holiday classics by Mary Wilson, one of the original Supremes and the legendary Four Tops. These legends are celebrating 60 years of performing, and show no signs of slowing down.  

Chicago Blackhawks take on San Jose Sharks (1/5)


This Sunday, watch your Blackhawks hit the ice with the San Jose Sharks at the United Center. The Hawks will be contuning their fight to maintain their lead in the Central Division this Sunday night at 7 PM. For tickets, click here.

Zoo Lights at Lincoln Park Zoo (Ends 1/5)

After a little over a month-long celebration of lights at Lincoln Park Zoo, the city's beloved ZooLights are coming to an end this weekend. While Santa returned to the North Pole after December 23,  this weekend you'llbe able to enjoy a spin around the rink in Farm-in-the-Zoo, catch a glimpse of ice carving and relish the warmth of a hot chocolate while wandering through the more than two million lights adorning the zoo. So bundle up, and enjoy the magic of ZooLights one last time before the end of the season!
