With showings at both Music Box Theatre and Gallery Theatre, the Chicago Irish Film Festival takes over this weekend with features, documentaries and shorts bring played through next Saturday. These Irish films are a representative selection of films, from up and coming Irish filmmakers to an Academy Award nominee all the films in this year's program are engaging, creative and inspiring. Each performance includes audience favorites along with new repertoire, all taking place at the Auditorium Theater.

Raising funds for the programs and athletes of Special Olympics Chicago, the Chicago Polar Plunge attracts over 2,000 participants each year - two of which this year you may know very well. Mayor Emanuel has encouraged The Tonight Show host Jimmy Fallon to join him in the Chicago Polar Plunge! Let's show Jimmy Fallon that Chicago has his back.
