Adults Night Out Zoo

Leave the kids with the babysitter and avoid the crowds at Lincoln Park Zoo's special evening just for the grownups! Whether you're up for a singles night out or a romantic evening with your significant other, you're covered with this rare opportunity to explore the zoo among the animals and lush gardens, all with drink in hand. 2ND FRIDAYS ON THE CHICAGO CULTURAL MILE (8/8)

2nd Fridays

Enjoy free and sharply discounted entertainment, dining and festivities on the second Friday of every month along the Chicago Cultural Mile. Offerings this Friday include three free 45-minute sessions at the Fine Arts Building, letting you unleash your innate creativity and expressing your muse with choreographed dancing or guided watercolor and pastel classes. Bud Billiken Parade Baltimore All Stars

The Bud Billiken Parade and Picnic is the oldest and largest African American parade in the United States! The focus of the Bronzeville parade is getting kids ready for school and celebrating their future. Bud Billiken is an idea that was the brainchild of Robert Sengstacke Abbott to symbolize the best for children. It is named after the Billiken, guardian angel of all children according to Chinese legend.

Hot Dog Fest

Hot dogs are as American as apple pie - maybe even more so. Why not celebrate their existence with a hot dog-centric festival? The Chicago History Museum has expanded its annual event to two days, celebrating one of Chicago's favorite foods. Sponsored by Ball Park® Brand, the Hot Dog Fest will feature Ball Park Beef Franks, craft beer, music and entertainment sure to please everyone.

For 48 hours, the neighborhood of Boystown becomes filled with food, art, music and fun. The 33rd annual Northalsted Market Days® is the largest two-day street fair in the Midwest with more than 40 musical performances and 400 food and art vendors that showcase the talent and diversity of Chicago's LGBT hotspot, Boystown
