AFRICAN FESTIVAL OF THE ARTS (8/29-9/1)
Immerse yourself in this four-day celebration of African culture and heritage in Washington Park. The 25th annual African Festival of the Arts will have more than 300 vendors and artisans from Africa and the African Diaspora presenting artifacts, textiles, traditional crafts and museum quality art. Enjoy the global arch of African influenced food, music, and dance traditions during an entertainment rich, family-focused celebration. See the best in electronic, hip hop, jam band, indie rock and more at the North Coast Music Festival over Labor Day weekend in Union Park. The eclectic mix brings together music fans of all kinds of genres, celebrating their love for music. Headliners like Bassnectar, Kid Cudi and the OG himself, Snoop Dogg, will get Chicago jumping.
