If you're a fan of Mediterranean culture or delicious Greek food, you'd do well to check this one out. South Shore Summer Festival

The palatial, landmark South Shore Cultural Center plays host for a fifth year to the free South Shore Summer Festival. This annual gathering right on the shore of Lake Michigan is an event that can be appreciated by all ages, with a premium lineup of food, local merchants and activities. Throughout the day, enjoy performers that run the gamut from up-and-coming local artitst to dance sets from members of Chicago's acclaimed Chose Few deejays. It all culminates in live performances from hip hop greats Slick Rick and Doug E. Fresh.
