For its annual spring engagement, The Joffrey Ballet presents Global Visionaries, a program of three contemporary ballets including a world premiere by Swedish choreographer Alexander Ekman, the Chicago Premiere of The Miraculous Mandarin by San Francisco Ballet Resident Choreographer Yuri Possokhov, created specifically for The Joffrey Ballet, plus the return of Mammatus by internationally renowned choreographer Annabelle Lopez Ochoa. Global Visionaries is presented in 10 performances only.

CSO Muti

Muti begins his spring CSO residency with a program that features music of Beethoven and Liszt. Internationally acclaimed pianist Radu Lupu joins Muti and the CSO in Beethoven's Fifth Piano Concerto (Emperor). Lupu returns as a soloist with the Orchestra for the first time since 2013. Completing the program is Liszt's Dante Symphony.
