Trump Reindeer - Blog

The Chicago River is a hinge point of sorts for our city's holiday season. To the south, novelty sized trumpets adorn State Street. To the north, The Magnificent Mile bustles with over a million lights. Macy's on State Street and Michigan Avenue are holiday symbols in this city. And now, thanks to the Trump International Hotel and Tower, there is a new tradition with ‘Reindeer on the River'.

Trump Hotel Chicago is offering visitors a chance to meet Santa and his reindeer on November 17. From 3-8 pm, the Riverwalk at Trump Hotel Chicago will showcase St. Nick and his trusty mode of transportation (a pair of real life reindeer) before their especially taxing overnight trip around the globe to deliver presents.

The event is a holiday catchall with celebratory music, warm cider and cocoa, as well as seasonal sweets created by Executive Pastry Chef Patrick Fahy. The event coincides conveniently with The Magnificent Mile Light Festival. So, if you're making a day out of it, don't miss a 30-minute a capella performance by the Saint Luke's Choir at 3:30. All proceeds benefit St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.

Beginning November 17th and available throughout the holiday season, Trump Hotel Chicago will feature a specially decorated elevator featuring holiday indulgences like gingerbread and candy canes. Guest will be greeted by the sweet smells of the season, gigantic candy canes and more than 1100 gingerbread bricks made by the Sixteen restaurant's pastry team.

The Rudolph's Great Escape overnight package is available exclusively for guests on Saturday, November 17 (again, conveniently coinciding with The Magnificent Mile Lights Festival). This family friendly offer features a VIP meet and greet with Santa and his reindeer, a personalized photo of the afternoon's events, an in-room turndown treat of cookies and milk, a holiday gift, and complimentary meals for children under the age of 10 from the In-Room Dining Children's Menu. The package starts at $465, exclusive of tax and gratuity, and is based on availability.
