No restaurant does holiday dining quite like Bistronomic, Martial Noguier's contemporary French restaurant in the Gold Coast. Open for every holiday all year round, the restaurant is a reliable pillar for holiday degustations. For Mother's Day, which may as well be known as National Brunch Awareness Day, Bistronomoc is celebrating the matriarchs with a seasonally inspired French prix fixe complete with bottomless mimosas on May 10.
The three-course affair is available from 9:30 a.m. until 4 p.m., featuring dishes like Martial's Mother's country pâté, house-cured duck confit, ahi tuna niçoise salad, savory spring crêpes, and strawberry Napoleon. If your cravings skew Italian, then head to Balena for their very own three-course brunch prix fixe. To start with, each table will receive an assortment of sweets and a bowl of lemon zepploi with strawberry conserves and rhubarb crostata. Next is a spread of housemade foccacia and spring antipasti. After the shared starters, guests select from entrees such as ramp and potato frittata, chilled pasta Nero with sea urchin and crab, and smoked trout with marinated endive. Steak and eggs, churros with orange cream cheese, and crispy chicken and waffles are a few of the tantalizing family-style plates guests can expect to feast on this Mother's Day at GT Fish & Oyster. The River North restaurant is hosting a special Mother's Day brunch with a miscellany of shareable prix fixe items divvied over three courses, along with country potatoes, GT's everything monkey bread, and Nueske's bacon. In honor of moms, The Dawson is stretching its Sunday brunch hours from 10:30 a.m. until 4 p.m. on May 10, outfitting its menu with a handful of Mother's Day-themed specials by chef Shaun King. Get hungry for "Not Your Mother's Fruit Cup" with sparkling wine-infused seasonal fruit, St-Germain, Chantilly, and blackberry sorbet; and oat-banana-blueberry pancakes with cardamom and mint. Beverage director Clint Rogers will also be serving up Mother's Day mimosas with Grand Marnier and blood orange.
