Bourbon County Stout fans, here's your chance to get a taste of the hard-to-find brew. Goose Island is teaming up with Blackfinn Ameripub for a four-course paired dinner tomorrow night, Thursday, April 3rd.
The menu pairs strawberry, goat cheese and pecan salad with Goose Island's Matilda, blackened brie with Sofie, and bacon-wrapped meatloaf with one of the brewery's most recent limited releases, the hop-heavy "The Illinois."
But the main event is dessert, where Blackfinn's Hot Chocolate-a fallen chocolate and peanut butter soufflé served with vanilla ice cream-is paired with Goose Island Bourbon County Stout. If you missed your chance to pick up a four-pack (or ten) back when it was released in November, or if you already drank through your reserves, here's an opportunity to sip the much-beloved brew while you dig in to dessert.
The whole thing kicks off at 6:30 pm with a 312 Pale and cheese reception. Dinner starts at 7 pm and there will be Goose Island representatives on hand to present the beers prior to each course.
Tickets are $40 each and should be reserved in advance by emailing Nick at firstname.lastname@example.org. Tickets are limited and will not be sold at the door, so make sure you plan ahead.
