This weekend as they host last year's American League champion Kansas City Royals, the Chicago White Sox and their fans will have the opportunity to remember and celebrate the team's World Series championship from 10 years ago with the 2005 World Championship Reunion Weekend.
Many of the stars of that legendary championship roster will be in town for the events, including Paul Konerko, Aaron Rowand, Jon Garland, Joe Crede, Frank Thomas, Orlando "El Duque" Hernandez, Scott Podsednik, Geoff Blum and World Series MVP Jermaine Dye. Former manager Ozzie Guillen will also be in attendance.
Starting Friday night, each game has special events surrounding the contest on the field. Friday night's game will conclude with fireworks, Saturday's game features a replica championship ring giveaway, and fans will receive a tailgate flag on Sunday.
Sunday night, White Sox Charities will host "A Season To Remember: A night with the 2005 World Series Champions" at the Chicago Theatre.
