Timberland - Blog

After a long hiatus, Timberland has made its way back to The Magnificent Mile and will provide a bit of environmental awareness to the city's most prominent shopping district. Known most for its rugged, waterproof boots, Timberland is seeking to give customers a more diverse offering of merchandise at the new Chicago location.

On my first visit to the store, I spotted a great selection of shoes and boots for both men and women. The colorful boat shoes were the first sign that I would be in for a treat. Then I spotted the stylish burnished leather laceup boots and utiliatarian messenger bags. I was completely sold!

The women's section is equally diverse. The boots (from ankle to knee length), shoes and sandals include details that appeal to the fashion-forward consumer: faux shearling, metal hardware, buckles, platform heels.

Much of the store is filled with items from the Earthkeepers collection. With leather from highly rated tannery facilities, recycled rubber soles, and lining made of recycled plastic bottles, shoppers can bank on the fact that their purchase can be made with a clear conscious.

Even the interior of the new space is filled with eco-friendly elements such as reclaimed wood, recylced industrial machinery, recycled floor tiles and reduced-wattage LED lighting.

In addition to shoes, you can shop the vast array of clothing, which makes this store the perfect place to grab a casual yet quality head to toe look. You can also expect to find Chicago-themed footwear and clothing exclusive to the Michigan Avenue location.

Pop into the brand spanking new store (545 N. Michigan Ave) and see for yourself how Timberland is stepping its game up. Literally.
