The sun is starting to come out which is a new sensation for Chicagoland, however, the comedy scene keeps on trucking along. Here are three shows to check out this week.

Schubas, Saturday April 12th at 7pm

Mortified stars everyday people like YOU reading aloud their most embarrassing, pathetic and private teenage diary entries, poems, love letters, lyrics and locker notes... in front of total strangers. Witness "personal redemption through public humiliation" in a refreshing show that is equal parts comedic, cathartic and voyeuristic. The largest and longest running project of its kind featuring a cast of Chicago's bravest souls. Share the shame.

iO Chicago, Thursdays at 10:30pm

The Reckoning is one of the most well-known improv teams in the country. Starting in Chicago and now having members in Chicago and Los Angeles, The Reckoning has weekly shows at iO Chicago on Thursday evenings. However, they are now paired up with The Scene, which stars a number of welll-known improvisers, including TJ Jagodowski, from TJ and Dave and "the guy from the Sonic commercials." This line-up is guaranteed to be a good time.
