Burberry Store - Blog

Shoppers, the Choosie Awards did not forget about you. Retailers and high-end designers seem to be having a love affair with Chicago as of late - and of course we don't blame them. Here are the shops that will have you emptying your wallets and smashing the piggy bank in 2013.

Nominee: Burberry (633 N. Michigan Avenue)

The luxury brand that is widely known for its signature nova check pattern has set up shop on Michigan Avenue and shoppers are rejoicing. The flagship store is five levels of all that Burberry has to offer. From outerwear to footwear to leather goods, there is much to be seen in this posh space. The exterior alone, with its bright and shiny chrome check pattern, makes this location both a premier shopping destination and a tourist attraction.

Nominee: Luxury Garage Sale (1658 N. Wells Street)

The popular online vintage and designer consignment store has moved its wares to a brick and mortar shop and consumers couldn't be any happier. This location is not only for those who want to shop or simply marvel at well-curated collection of designer goods, but also for those looking to drop off their own items for consignment. Sell yours, buy theirs. It's the best example of a shopping win-win.

Nominee: Christian Louboutin (58 E. Oak Street)

What girl doesn't dream of owning at least one pair of red-soled beauties? Located at the former Esquire Theater location, the newly opened Louboutin store is filled to the brim with footwear and accessories. The decor and displays will make your heart palpitate, while the inclusion of men's is the perfect bait for those looking to bring in their significant other for a bit of shoe shopping.

Nominee: Roosevelt Collection (150 W. Roosevelt Road)

Okay. I may have cheated a bit with this one, since it is a collection of stores. However, this South Loop location that has only housed a movie theater since its development is now getting a slew of retailers in the New Year. Rumor has it that H&M, Ulta, White House | Black Market, and Z Gallerie are among the few that will be setting up shop at Roosevelt Collection in 2013. Even those who loathe malls will appreciate the opportunity to shop so many great stores in one location.

Nominee: Nike Chicago (669 N. Michigan Avenue)

Formerly known as NikeTown, Nike Chicago will continue to be the #1 spot for those looking for sportswear or simply in need of a fresh pair of sneakers (or as Chicagoans say, "gym shoes"). With over 50,000 square feet, the four-story flagship includes memorabilia from Chicago's professional and local high school teams, artwork showcasing Chicago neighborhoods and the world's largest selection of Jordan brand footwear and apparel. Shoppers can also customize their purchases in the NIKEiD studio. So, basically, be prepared to spend a few hours in this athletic paradise.

And The Choosie Goes To...

Luxury Garage Sale. With its one-off vintage and designer merchandise, you can rest assured that the likelihood of you bumping into someone with the same thing is slim to none. And who doesn't like exclusivity?
