Paul Konerko returns to lead the Sox bats into the new year. He'll be joined by fellow sluggers Adam Dunn and Alex Rios, as well as the stellar infield defense of Alexei Ramirez and Gordon Beckham. On the mound, last year's surprise is this year's ace. Chris Sale signed a nice extension over the winter and will take the ball in today's opener against the Kansas City Royals. Jake Peavy and Gavin Floyd will bolster the rotation, and young Addison Reed will close games on the South Side again this year.
This year, the Sox will celebrate the 30th anniversary of the great 1983 team with a number of fantastic giveaways and events. From old school bobblehead dolls to throwback hats, don't miss out on these great nostalgic events. Click here for the promotion list for the entire 2013 season.
As always, the Sox will be lighting up the skies of the South Side during and after games this year.
