Right off the beaten path of the Magnificent Mile is a fashion lover's utopia!

Visiting Sarca (710 N. Wabash) is less like walking into a retail store and more akin to entering a well curated closet.

Owner Alexis Cozzini travels often to find not only the best emerging designers in the U.S. but also those that are making a name for themselves overseas. You can count on Sarca to have unique clothing from Finders Keepers (Australia) or Ella Luna (France), statement jewels by Mawi (London) as well as hard-to-find shoes from the likes of Ruthie Davis (New York) and Pura Lopez (Spain). Local jewelry designer Damen + Division also has a bit of display real estate in the shop.

Although the gems and baubles may grab your attention initially, the racks of clothing will have you in awe. The ample amount of textures - think lace, feather, fur, sequin -  and rich colors will have you wanting to play dress up in the super chic dressing rooms.

Even if your lifestyle doesn't often require getting "dolled up," you can shop the equally appealing selection of denim and day dresses.

Being open for only two years still makes Sarca somewhat of a newbie to the neighborhood. Nevertheless, Cozzini's leading-edge point of view has helped to solidify the boutique as a prime shopping destination in Chicago.

So, the next time you find yourself on North Michigan Avenue, head west to Sarca and pick up something fresh for your wardrobe. You'll thank me later for it.
