Chicagoans like to savor the sunny spring and summer months by doing as much outdoor dining and drinking as possible. Here’s a roundup of some newer Chicago patio openings (and old favorites too), just in time for the warm weather days in the forecast.

Saint Lou's Assembly

Saint Lou’s Assembly is located on the cusp of the West Loop and West Town/River West. You can enjoy creative American comfort food that’s served cafeteria style: brunch, lunch, and dinner is available. A bucket of chicken and waffles and a round of Grapefruit Beermosas are perfect to share with friends on a Sunday morning. Their killer patio, decked out with bleacher seating and a bocce ball court, is also available for private events. If the weather turns, take comfort in the fact that you can take your tippling over to Moneygun, the swanky cocktail bar that is adjacent to St. Lou's Assembly and run by the same teams.

Tack Room

Located in Pilsen, Dusek’s Board and Beer is a Michelin-starred restaurant serving high-end pub food. It’s located in a historic building that dates back to the Chicago World’s Fair. Take a seat for brunch, lunch or dinner on their sidewalk seats. Tack Room is inside the same historic building as Dusek’s. Fittingly, it used to be an old tack room, where guests would store their horse carriages. Now, it’s transformed into a rustic piano bar that opens onto the patio. Order a cocktail or two, and don’t skimp on dessert—it’s amazing!
