Let the James Beard festivities begin!
On April 16, the Celebrity Chef Tour will host a dinner at The Langham, Chicago featuring these Chicago chefs: Anthony Zamora, Tim Graham, Travelle at the Langham; Chris Pandel, Balena, The Bristol, and Formento's; Giuseppe Tentori, GT Fish & Oyster; Paul Virant, Perennial Virant, Chicago; and Vie Restaurant, Western Springs, IL; Andrew Zimmerman, Sepia; and Pastry Chef Scott Green, Travelle at the Langham.
Proceeds from this event will benefit the James Beard Foundation and its culinary arts programs. Over the past 10 years, the Celebrity Chef Tour has raised over a million dollars in funding for the James Beard Foundation.
According to Jeff Black, president of Celebrity Chef Tour, "The Chicago event is a great way for people to have the experience of dining in the James Beard House without actually having to travel to New York City." James Beard was a culinary icon and today his home in New York City continues his legacy of cooking and entertaining by hosting events and dinners by chefs from around the country and the world. In fact, there is even a James Beard House cam you can access online to watch what's happening in the kitchen!
