Every spring, Macy's on State Street bursts and blooms with the spirit of the season. The annual Macy's Flower Show features florets from around the world - from Palace Roses to Hinoki Falsecypress - and a wonderful array of workshops and related events. This year's show will usher in spring with its lovely in-store garden through April 7 and it's inspired by the exotic architecture, gardens and spirit of South Asia.
Families will want to visit on the two Macy's Flower Show Family Fun Days (2PM on Saturday, March 30 and Saturday, April 6; 5th floor Kid's Department). You'll be able to meet Lewis the Duck and Herman the Worm, who will be teaching kids all about decomposers in the environment. Rosie the Tarantula, Millie the Millipede and a troupe of Madagascar Hissing Cockroaches will also be available to meet and greet at the Insect Petting Zoo. As an added bonus, with every $35 purchase in the Kid's Department families will receive 2 admission tickets to Brookfield Zoo while supplies last.
You might also want to squeeze in breakfast with the Easter Bunny at the Macy's Bunny Breakfast in the iconic Walnut Room (7th Floor). You'll enjoy a buffet brunch, Easter fun and crafts and of course, a visit from the Bunny himself!
Here's an added perk: Present your out of state ID, hotel room key, or Flower Show brochure at the 7th Floor Visitor Center & receive a 10% Off Visitor's Savings Pass. For more info: visitmacyschicago.com or call 312-781-4483
