Workouts in the Park
If you're looking to enjoy the fresh air while having fun and getting fit, Chicago has you covered this summer. Both Millennium Park and The Field Museum will be offering weekly summer fitness classes. All classes are offered outdoors, with views that will inspire you to keep on movin'. Best of all, they're FREE!



Millennium Park Summer Workouts

When: Saturdays through September 3, 2016; 7-11 a.m.
Where: Millennium Park, Great Lawn (201 E. Randolph St.) 

Admission: FREE


Millennium Park will once again offer FREE workouts this summer, so there's no excuse to not keep fit and have a great start to your day while you travel. All you need to do is show up on the Great Lawn on Saturday mornings. These fab free workout sessions are 45 minutes long, with classes in Tai Chi, Yoga, Pilates and Zumba. As an added bonus, Yoga Wednesdays will be offered each week through August 31 on Wednesdays 7:30–8:15 a.m.

Fitness at The Field Summer Workouts

When: Sundays through August 28; 8-9 a.m. unless otherwise specified
Where: The Northeast Terrace of The Field Museum, 1400 S. Lake Shore Dr.
Admission: FREE

Who says you can't get a great workout in at the museum? Head to The Field Museum's northeast terrace for a series of outdoor fitness classes. Fitness at The Field will bring some of the brightest and best instructors from local gyms and studios for these totally free summer workouts. Whether you want to give kickboxing, yoga, or Zumba a try — there's a workout for everyone. Healthy grab-and-go food will also be available for purchase. Afterwards, add some more miles to your daily count and wander the museum's outstanding collections and the waterfront views from Museum Campus.
