Just For Laughs 

This week, the Just For Laughs team is taking over Chicago, scouring the city for top stand-up talent. They will be scouting at UP Comedy Club, The Playground, Jokes and Notes and Timothy O'Toole's. Check out the details below and catch as many shows as you can - most of them are free!


UP Comedy Club - 230 W North Ave, Chicago, IL 60614 (Pipers Alley)
Tuesday, April 15 at 7:00pm and 9:30pm

Watch some of Chicago's best up-and-coming comedians audition for a spot at the prestigious Just For Laughs Comedy Festival in Montreal, Canada. Every July, Montreal hosts the largest gathering of comedy industry executives from across the globe. For stand-ups, the Just For Laughs New Faces show is the most important and recognized career-launcher around. This showcase is the first step towards getting that big break.

Mike Lebovitz will be hosting the 7:00pm show and Sean Flannery will be hosting the 9:30pm show. Tickets are FREE, but please still reserve them. The show should last about 75 minutes and there is no intermission.

Watch some of Chicago's best sketch comedians and comedic character actors audition at The Playground. This showcase will be heavily based on character work. Come out and support, admission is free, but first come, first served.

Timothy O'Toole's stand-up showcase will be hosted by Derick Lengwenus. Tickets are free if they reserved in advance here. If any tickets remain they will be charging $10 at the door.
