Inspired by the long running BBC sci-fi series, Doctor WhoWHO PROV creates a new, improvised, hour-long episode of the iconic show on stage each performance.

The TV series follows The Doctor on his adventures through space and time. To replicate his far-reaching adventures, the performers start the show by bringing an audience member on stage. The audience member shares a little about themselves, a place and time in history they would most like to visit, and something they would be terrified to run into. With these suggestions, the cast creates the improvised episode. A different performer stars as The Doctor each week.

The creators of the show are in their element with WHO PROV, having mastered other improvised genre shows like "Hitch-Cocktails" and "Improvised Firefly." The cast features: Brit Belsheim, Keenan Camp, John Chesney, Logan Dean, Courtney Fontaine, Karen Gillespie, Stephen Kropa, Ryan Perisin and C.J Tuor with music and sound effects from Stephanie McCullough and Byron Roussin

Doctor Who originally aired on the BBC in 1963, but has enjoyed an explosion in popularity in the US over the past few years. Here's a little bit from the show to see what the improvisers will be recreating.

Performances begin May 31 and run through June 21. Tickets are on sale now through Donny's Skybox.
