National Travel Tourism Week

Join Choose Chicago and The Illinois office of Tourism on Friday, May 2 from 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. at Goose Island Wrigleyville before the Cubs and Cardinals face off in a classic rivalry game and help us celebrate tourism and the benefits of taking time off. The event is free and open to the public. You'll hear live music from Chicago's very own Ghosthouse. Plus, we will be giving away great prizes including a chance to see the Cubs play in St. Louis later this summer.

National Travel and Tourism Week, part of U.S. Travel Association's Travel Effect campaign, celebrates the benefits of travel to your health and the U.S. economy.

Using your earned time off to spend time with family or go on a vacation has a positive effect on your relationships, health, education, meetings and more. Taking a break from a heavy workload is important for an employee's - and the employer's - well-being.

Be sure to RSVP to our kickoff event here, and spend your earned time off in St. Louis this summer with the help of one very large giveaway at our event. Join Jen Hollenjamp, Director of Marketing for Explore St. Louis, and Congressman Mike Quigley in the afternoon's big prize package giveaway which includes:

• Four tickets to see the Cards/Cubs match-up on the 29th of August in St. Louis
• Field access passes for batting practice
• 2-night stay at the Four Seasons St. Louis
• Four passes to the Gateway Arch, City Museum, the Missouri Botanical Garden and St. Louis Zoo Safari

We hope to see you there!
