A new year means another Chicago Theatre Week isn't far behind. Celebrating its third year, the popular event has expanded to 11 days, running from February 12-22, and tickets are on sale now!
With more than 100 productions spanning the city (and genres), Theatre Week provides plenty of opportunities to beat the winter doldrums by getting out to explore Chicago's famous theater scene. Tickets to more than 600 performances are discounted ($15 or $30, with some even less), and officially went on sale earlier this week.
Participating shows include "Marie Antoinette" at Steppenwolf Theatre Company, "Samsara" at Victory Gardens Theater, "The Selfish Giant" at Chicago Children's Theatre, The Who's "Tommy" at Paramount Theatre, and the absurdist classic "Waiting for Godot" at Court Theatre (above).
The event includes two weekends (and Valentine's Day!) so there's no reason you can't make that date night happen. For schedules, ticket information, and a full list of participating shows, check out chicagotheatreweek.com.
