It's officially August and that means Chicago's largest fashion event, Macy's Glamorama, is right around the corner.

This year, Glamorama has ditched its old digs (The Chicago Theater) for the Harris Theater in Millennium Park. With its reputation for hosting the best music and dance performances in the city, there is no argument that the change in venue was a good decision.

The one-hour, high-end fashion presentation will feature Fall 2012 designs from Donna Karan, Jean Paul Gaultier, Bar III, Material Girl, Sean John and Tommy Hilfiger.  The theme is "The British Invasion," so expect to see inspiration from across the pond. The visually pleasing fashion show will be coupled with spectacular musical performances by R&B crooner and star of "Duets," Robin Thicke, as well as YouTube sensation and "swag pop" duo, Karmin.

While the big name designers and well-known musicians are enough to drive ticket sales, it's the philanthropic aspect of Glamorama that makes it one of the largest charitable events of the year. With the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Chicagoland and Northern Indiana as the beneficiary, you can rest assure that your hard-earned dollars are going to a worthy cause.

Tickets range from $50 (performance seating only) to $1000 (VIP premier seating and VIP access to the after-party).  Any ticket priced at $175 or more will gain access to the after party which will be held on the rooftop of the Harris Theater. Keep in mind, the after party is where it all goes down. Spotting celebrities and Chicago's elite is the norm. So definitely splurge on the after-party inclusive tickets, if you can swing it.

Each year, Glamorama gets bigger and better. I guarantee this one is not to be missed. Click here to get your hands on those tickets!
