Stretch Bar & Grill (3485 N. Clark Street)

Being MSU owned and operated, any Spartan is in good hands at Stretch Bar and Grill. Located in the heart of Wrigleyville, this sports bar offers a great college football atmosphere every Saturday. The drink specials for the games are $5 Sparty Bombs and $15 domestic buckets. A nice touch during the games is that fans get to listen to the full audio of the game, and when commercials come on, the DJ switches to music. It's a nice touch that goes a long way to enjoying the big game. Don't forget to pick up a burger at The Stretch as their Burgers have been voted in the top ten of all of Chicago!

Mad River (2909 N. Sheffield Ave)

This large and lodge style bar is a great place to cheer on your Spartans every Saturday. Complete with a large floor area and antler chandeliers, Mad River isn't your typical bar. Their game day specials include #3 22oz Coors Light Drafts, $4 Sparty Bombs, $4 Absolut Cocktails, $5 Jameson Shots/Cocktails, and of course, $6 Signature Loaded Bloody Marys. Michael Diversey's (670 West Diversey Parkway)

This neighborhood tavern is the perfect spot to grab some friends and yell, "Go Green" in Lakeview. Michael Diversey's offers a long list of local craft beers on tap and friendly, relaxed environment to catch a game. The game day specials are $5 Big Sparty Beer, $8 32oz Bud Light Michigan State Mugs. So pay tribute to the late famous Michael Diversey and catch a game here.

Higgins Tavern takes the "neighborhood" bar description to a whole new level. Walk into Higgins and immediately feel like you part of the regular crowd from the warm reception you will garner their owner and staff. Higgins also offers amazingly cold beer, great bar food, and free popcorn! The owner is also known to put out some food for free on certain days just give back to his customers. A true gentleman if I must say so myself. If you do in fact want to travel to a MSU game, Higgins offers special event tickets to bus you to the game and back!
